Michael P. Johns Joins Rocky Mountain Bank Board of Directors

Rocky Mountain Bank announced that Michael P. Johns, Chief Executive Officer at Bozeman-based Bridger Orthopedic & Sports Medicine, has been elected to serve on its Board of Directors.

Billings, Montana – July 8, 2019 — “Michael is an expert in high-performing corporate atmospheres, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our Board of Directors,” Kevin Tenpas, President and CEO, Rocky Mountain Bank, said. “With his financial and leadership expertise, he has contributed greatly to the Bozeman community.  Michael’s experience in process alignment and strategic direction will enhance Rocky Mountain Bank’s model; and his leadership will further support our bank in pursuing market opportunities and generating long-term value to our communities.”

Mr. Johns is a Certified Public Accountant and has held audit positions with KPMG in its high-tech practice, where he served in management from 2000-2006. In 2007, he joined Right Now Technologies serving as its SEC Financial Reporting Director and Investor Relations Director. During his tenure at Right Now, Mr. Johns participated in many high-level key financial transactions. In 2012, he entered the world of health-care, serving as Pegasus Emergency Group's Chief Financial Officer for two years until finalizing a merger and transition with Island Medical Management Group, where he served as President during the integration of the two companies. In January 2015, Mr. Johns assumed the Chief Executive Officer responsibilities for Bridger Orthopedic where his leadership and efforts have led to an impressive expansion for the company. He helped deliver operational and financial results that resulted in the creation of more than 70 jobs.

Mr. Johns serves in the community on civic and non­profit boards. He is a Governor-appointed member of the Future Fisheries Panel since 2016, and is an active member of Resurrection Parish. Previously, he was a committee member for the Bozeman Sports Park Foundation where he led the largest gift to launch campaign.

Mr. Johns is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate of Montana State University – Billings. He earned his degree in Accounting with honors. Mr. Johns resides in Bozeman, Montana, with his wife Kristy and their four children.

Mr. Johns will serve on Rocky Mountain Bank’s Board of Directors alongside Wallace Anderson, Lynn B. Fuller, Kevin Tenpas, Gerald Pearsall, Catherine Langlas-Bergman, Kevin Quinn and Pamela Mower.
